On 14th April, Kwasi visited the Tesco Pharmacy in Sunbury. It was a useful opportunity for Kwasi to hear first-hand about some of the pharmacy’s concerns, and to discuss the Government’s forthcoming primary care recovery plan.
Our community pharmacies play a vital role in offering advice, dispensing medication, providing health checks and vaccines and helping to ease pressure on GP practices. ‘100-hour’ pharmacies like the Tesco Pharmacy in Sunbury also offer longer opening hours to benefit patients. The Government is committed to sustainably funding community pharmacies, and to expanding the range of services that they can provide.
Kwasi was also delighted to hear about Tesco’s local community engagement in Spelthorne, and would like to thank pharmacists across the country for the valuable and skilled work they undertake every day.
