Spelthorne Residents Update

In difficult times, I've been working hard for Spelthorne. You can read all about my work over the last month in my newsletter below.

Visit to Town Farm Primary School

It was great to visit Town Farm Primary School in Stanwell on Friday. During my meeting with the Headteacher, Mr Bhatti, I had the opportunity to congratulate him on the school’s Ofsted success, and discuss the school’s future.

Barclays Business Breakfast

On Friday I was delighted to join a business breakfast organised by Barclays Bank at the Thames Club in Staines.

Public Consultation Meeting

I held a public consultation meeting in Ashford to listen to residents’ views about the proposals for Spelthorne’s Local Plan.

This meeting was very well attended, and was a great opportunity for me to hear residents views on the Plan before the consultation period ended.

Make It Your Business

I was delighted to attend the Make It Your Business event together with Cllr Ian Harvey and Cllr Olivia Rybinski from Spelthorne Borough Council.

It was great to have the Prime Minister Boris Johnson with us supporting female entrepreneurship.

ADHD Conference, Kempton Park

I was pleased to be invited to speak at the Surrey Neurodiversity Conference on Friday. The ADHD Foundation: The Neurodiversity Charity is the largest user led ADHD agency in Europe.

Federation of Small Businesses Lunch

On Friday, 10th January I held a drop in session over lunch for Ashford retailers and members of the local Federation of Small Businesses.

I was pleased to be able to speak to so many businesses about the challenges they face, and how they can best be supported.

Inauguration of Big Oz

I was delighted to join staff at the Big Oz to celebrate the reopening of the site in Sunbury.

Centenary of Stanwell WI

I was pleased to attend the Centenary celebration of Stanwell WI; the first meeting was held on 1st May 1919 and they are still going strong with over sixty members.
