CONSERVATIVE MP Kwasi Kwarteng has rebuffed complaints of Labour on the issue of the Air Passenger Duty (APD).
During a parliamentary debate last month (October 23), Labour MPs Diane Abbott and David Lammy expressed concerns that the travel tax was preventing citizens of Caribbean heritage from returning to visit family.
Abbott, who represents Hackney North and Stoke Newington, added that the APD was having a negative effect on the economy of Britain’s “traditional allies in the Caribbean.”...
