On 13th January, Kwasi met with Home-Start Spelthorne. Home-Start is a network of trained volunteers and expert support that help families with young children through challenging times.
Home-Start Spelthorne was launched in 1996. Last year alone, the organisation supported 177 children in 93 families through home visits, telephone support or group support. Support is free, confidential, and non-judgemental.
Kwasi was delighted to meet with some of the organisation’s trustees, managers and volunteers. It was a useful opportunity to learn more about Home-Start’s invaluable work and the challenges facing the organisation and the families it supports, particularly in relation to the rising cost of living.
Kwasi would like to thank Vivian Williams and all the Home-Start volunteers for their hard work and dedication, especially at this difficult time.
