On 10th June, Kwasi met with a group of councillors, business owners and residents who are leading the ‘Spelthorne in the Zone’ campaign to extend Zone 6 to all of Spelthorne’s railway stations. This would greatly benefit Spelthorne residents who regularly travel to London for work, education or leisure.
Kwasi has been a keen supporter of the campaign for many years, and he has met with transport ministers and the managing director of South Western Railways to push Spelthorne’s case for inclusion in Zone 6.
Last week, he reaffirmed his commitment, and agreed to seek another meeting with the transport minister and an adjournment debate in Parliament to advance the cause.
