On 4th August, Kwasi officially opened the new community lounge at the WR Sports Club in Ashford. The lounge will benefit the three sports clubs at the site, but it will also be available for local groups to hire for various activities and functions.
Kwasi visited Football Media at their offices in Sunbury on 21st July. Football Media is a digital football advertising and sponsorship agency that helps brands to engage with consumers through display advertising, video, content marketing and social media.
On 14th July, Kwasi visited the local Citizens Advice office in Sunbury. Kwasi is very aware that rising prices are putting pressure on households across the country, and Citizens Advice is an invaluable source of support for people struggling with the cost of living and with rising debts.
On 23rd June, Kwasi visited the Stanwell Community Allotments, which is run by the Local Conversation. The Local Conversation is a fantastic grass roots initiative to create a well-connected, healthy and active community.
On 10th June, Kwasi met with a group of councillors, business owners and residents who are leading the ‘Spelthorne in the Zone’ campaign to extend Zone 6 to all of Spelthorne’s railway stations.
On 10th June, Kwasi visited St Michael Catholic Primary School in Ashford. Kwasi enjoyed meeting lots of St Michael’s pupils, who showed him around the school and explained the various displays.
